Our Tax Status:
The Woodland Park Re-2 School District Foundation was incorporated in the state of Colorado in 2005. It has been designated by the United States Internal Revenue Service as a non-profit organization under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Donations and contributions made to the Foundation are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by applicable law.
What is an Educational Foundation?
An educational foundation can serve many purposes, but the general intent is to provide funding for activities that are beyond the scope of traditionally supported school district activities. A community based committee solicits donations, manages those funds and disburses them usually through a granting process. It is important for the non-profit foundation be a separate entity from the school district it serves.
Our 501 (c)(3) status provides the District the opportunity to seek and secure grants and donations that would otherwise be unavailable.

We want to fill the gaps, and provide opportunities and resources for all Woodland Park schools, students, and educators.
